BASE

A base is the central hub where containers, trailers, or transport equipment are managed throughout their operational life. It is the location where equipment is parked when not in service, inspected, repaired, cleaned, and prepared for its next assignment. Most logistics operations dispatch equipment from the base and return it there after deliveries are completed. An efficiently managed base improves equipment availability, maintenance planning, asset tracking, and overall fleet performance.
