Advanced Interline refers to an arrangement where one carrier performs the initial pickup of cargo at origin and hands it over to a second carrier for the main leg of transportation. This structure is commonly used in air cargo and multimodal logistics networks where carriers cooperate to extend service coverage. The advanced interline carrier is responsible for origin handling, documentation handover, and timely transfer of the shipment. The receiving carrier then assumes responsibility for linehaul movement and delivery. This arrangement enables efficient routing across different carrier networks while maintaining continuity of the shipment.
