Advice Note
Also known as: advice note, status advice, goods advice
A written notification providing information about the status, movement, or handling of goods.
An Advice Note is used in logistics and transport operations to communicate key updates related to a shipment. It may inform relevant parties about dispatch, arrival, delay, readiness for pickup, or changes in handling instructions. The document is informational in nature and does not transfer ownership or confirm receipt of goods. Advice notes help coordinate actions between shippers, carriers, terminals, warehouses, and consignees by keeping all parties aware of shipment status.
