Whether In Port Or Not (WIPON)

Also known as: wipon, whether in port or not

A charter party clause declaring a vessel arrived even if it has not physically entered the port.

WIPON permits laytime to commence when the vessel reaches the customary waiting area outside a port. It is commonly used where congestion or draft restrictions delay port entry.
