Shipment
Also known as: consignment, cargo shipment
A distinct and identifiable quantity of goods tendered for transport.
A shipment may consist of one or multiple packages moved under a single transport document. In U.S. usage, the term shipment is commonly used in place of consignment. It serves as the basic unit for tracking, documentation, and liability.
