Back-to-Back Letter of Credit (Back-to-Back L/C)
Also known as: back to back lc
A letter of credit issued using another letter of credit as security for the same shipment.
It is often used by intermediaries who do not supply goods themselves. The original beneficiary substitutes documents while keeping both credits aligned.
