All Time Day and Night Sundays and Holidays Included (ATDNSHINC)
Also known as: atdnshinc, all time day and night sundays and holidays included
A charter party laytime expression stating that all time counts continuously for laytime purposes, including nights, weekends, Sundays, and public holidays, without interruption.
ATDNSHINC is a comprehensive laytime counting provision used primarily in voyage charter parties to ensure that time runs uninterrupted once laytime has commenced. Under this clause, there is no distinction between working days and non-working days; nights, Sundays, and public holidays are treated the same as regular weekdays. This maximizes time counting in favor of the party entitled to count laytime, typically the shipowner. It limits the charterer’s ability to exclude periods based on calendar status unless specific exceptions are separately agreed. In practical terms, once Notice of Readiness is validly tendered and laytime begins, every hour counts continuously until cargo operations are completed or laytime is otherwise contractually suspended.
