A cargo insurance phrase referring to risks of the same nature as those specifically listed in the policy’s perils clause.
This term is used in marine cargo insurance to extend coverage beyond named perils to include similar unforeseen events. It does not provide blanket coverage but applies only to risks comparable in character to those explicitly insured.
