Addendum
Also known as: addendum, contract addendum, agreement addendum
An additional document or clause that supplements and forms part of an existing contract or agreement.
An addendum is used in shipping, logistics, and chartering to introduce new terms or amend existing ones without rewriting the entire agreement. It may address changes such as revised rates, additional clauses, operational instructions, or updated responsibilities. The addendum forms part of the original contract once agreed and signed by the relevant parties. It is commonly referenced alongside charter parties, service contracts, and commercial agreements to reflect changes made after initial execution.
