Whether In Berth Or Not (WIBON)
Also known as: wibon, whether in berth or not
A charter party term stating that a vessel is considered arrived even if a berth is unavailable.
WIBON allows laytime to commence once the vessel reaches the port limits, regardless of berth availability. It shifts the risk of berth congestion from the shipowner to the charterer.
