Place of Acceptance

The location where a carrier receives a consignment from the shipper and where the carrier’s liability for the transport begins.
Place of Acceptance defines the contractual starting point of the carrier’s responsibility in a transport chain. It is commonly used in transport documents, multimodal contracts, and liability determinations. The term is synonymous with Place of Receipt in most commercial contexts.
