Lift-On Lift-Off Vessel (LOLO) (LOLO)
Also known as: lift on lift off vessel, lolo vessel
A vessel where cargo is loaded and discharged using cranes or derricks.
LOLO vessels rely on shipboard or shore-based lifting gear rather than ramps. They are commonly used for containerized, project, and heavy cargo trades where Ro-Ro operations are not possible.
