Air Waybill (AWB)

Also known as: air waybill of lading

A non-negotiable transport document issued for goods carried by air, serving as a receipt and contract of carriage.

Unlike ocean bills of lading, an air waybill does not transfer title. Goods are delivered directly to the named consignee.
